What is the ruling on spending the night in Muzdalifah? Is it Obligatory? (Ibn Bāz)

(Q. 436): What is the ruling on spending the night in Muzdalifah?

Answer: It is from the obligations (wājibāt) of Hajj.

Note: For the one who misses an obligation, it is upon him to sacrifice a sheep (or get it sacrificed) as an expiation – the meat is then distributed to the poor people of Makkah.
