Ibrāhīm At-Taymī (d. 92H) said, “When a believer intends to speak, he first considers. So, if speaking is good for him, he speaks—and if it is bad for him, he refrains from it. As for the wicked evildoer, his tongue is loose and unfettered.” (Kitābus-Samt of Ibn Abī Dunyā, 247)
