Only A Few People Will Cling To Sunnah At The End Of Time. Shaykh Al-Fawzan

Only A Few People Will Cling To Sunnah At The End Of Time: By Shaykh Al-Fawzan

Alläh’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Islam began as something strange and it will return just as it began as something strange, so Paradise is for the Strangers.”

He described the Strangers (Ghuraba), “They are the ones who rectify what the people have corrupted,” and that “they are a few righteous ones among a large number of wrongdoers.”

These narrations from Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) show the small number of those who will cling to the Sunnah at the end of time and the large number of those who will oppose it – and an encouragement to hold fast to the Sunnah in that time and to be patient upon it. The strangeness of Islam has intensified in the lands of Islam – the signs of the Sunnah are being eradicated and expelled everywhere – and replaced by misguidance, innovations, unbelief and sins.

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) urged us to cling to his Sunnah even if the people abandon it, to value it even if they cheapen it, that we defend it and are patient upon the harms we receive in that cause – for verily that is the path of the Prophets, the truthful believers, the martyrs and the righteous.
