A Simple Guide to the Funeral Rites (Janāzah) in Islam: From the Point of Death to the Burial (Illustrated eBook)

A REQUEST THAT WILL HELP YOU AND THE DAʿWAH: I have made this book/article freely available, so, I request that you donate a small amount of just £2 or $2 as a donation to the Salafi Bookstore and Islamic Centre so they can continue their work to print and distribute free audios, leaflets and booklets to aid the daʿwah of Ahlus-Sunnah and Hadīth across the world.

This is a free booklet — a Sadaqah Jāriyah on behalf of my father who has passed away (rahimahullāh) — so please spread it far and wide to all Muslims who seek the Methodology of the Sunnah.

  1. New version revised today 7th Jan. 2018. No. 5.
References added to topic of condolences, and worded better.

  2. As-Salamu ‘alaikum. I have two questions, in sha Allah.

1: Is it allowed to pray Janazah for someone years after they’ve died if we haven’t prayed Janazah?

2: How should Salat Al Janazah be prayed in absentee? Is it how it normally is? Can I pray Salat al Janazah in absentee if I can’t reach somewhere where the Janazah is held?

  3. Indeed I believe I have missed the opportunity of a sadaqah jaariyah. I found a typo in the 2019 edition of the booklet. And today I came to share it so it can be corrected, but I find the 2024 version already on the site. -Now if you could change the edition back to 2019 so I can inform… *smiles.

Still, for those who have the 2019 edition, there is a typo in the salawat on page number 43. Alhamdulillah it’s corrected in the 2024 edition.

Advise all to get/share the latest edition.

    Wa barakallahu feekum.
