Before you is a simple 10 question survey that will keep you anonymous but gives us valuable information that will be used for an important PhD research project (being conducted by a Salafi) looking into the conversion stories of Salafis from a variety of different backgrounds. Responses from both men and women are crucial here.
Unfortunately, Salafis who adhere to the creed and methodology of Scholars such as Ibn Bāz, Al-Albānī, Ibn Uthaimīn, Muqbil Ibn Hādī, Sālih al-Fawzān, Rabee Ibn Hādi al-Madkhalī, Ahmad An-Najmī, Ubaid al-Jābirī, Muhammad Ibn Hādī (etc) who all hold to the tradition of Ahlus-Sunnah as expounded by Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Qayyim, Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhāb (etc) tend to be [incorrectly] grouped alongside other sects such as the Khārijite terrorists and Qutubīte revolutionaries because many researchers haven’t been able to grasp the differences in methodology between them due to numerous factions all claiming attachment to Sunni/Salafi Islam.
At present, there is precious little mapping the backgrounds of those who come to Salafism, so existing PhDs lack true grounded information, therefore your participation would be much appreciated. Here is our opportunity, for the first time, to study and analyse basic information related to the Salafis globally. We are sure the results will be fascinating (and will be made available once analysed). The questions are enclosed in the table below; just click into it and scroll down, answer and submit, it’s as easy as that. Invite others to join the survey too.

You may have to use Chrome Internet browser to see the survey. Click into the survey table/box above then scroll down to the questions. People using Safari seem to be having problems. iPad and iPhone browsers might face difficulties.
Ya Ustadz, how to see the result of survey?
Baarakallahu feekum
The results will be part of a PhD, inshā’Allah, but I will put some of the important findings on this site after I have posted a few more surveys. The important thing is we have a broad response from a large body of Salafis. As of 4th July 2016, we’ve had over 2,000 filled surveys which already makes it the biggest survey of English-speaking Salafis even done.
If all attempts fail and you cannot scroll down in the box above (in your smartphone or iPad), then use your desktop computer. Most people are having no problems, Alhamdulillaah. So keep trying.
Just to let everyone know that I completed it successfully when I used Google chrome on an Android phone.
I had to rotate my phone to landscape so I could see the “done” button at the end of the form
Yes, the best place to do this survey is on your desktop or laptop computer. Handheld devices are not ideal.
I used chrome on Android (S4) and had no problems. Baarak Allahu Feekum.
