Delaying Fajr Prayer Deliberately Beyond Its Time: Shaikh al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah):
Summary:
In this short clip, the scholar, Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan is asked concerning the one who delays Fajr Prayer beyond its time and prays after its time has come to an end. The Shaikh explained that anyone who deliberately delays Fajr until its time has come to an end, then prays, then in reality he has not prayed Fajr. His prayer is considered as invalid due to the fact that Allaah has obligated upon the believers prayers at prescribed times. So his prayer is not correct. So upon the one who does this is that he must repent and seek Allaah’s forgiveness and pray at the prescribed times.

This actually applies to all the prayers, as Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaimeen (rahimahullaah) stated. It is not permitted for one to deliberately delay the prayer beyond its time, without a valid legislated excuse, such as forgetfulness, sleep, insanity, etc.
