Question: What do you advise the Muslim with in these days of ours?

Answer: I advise him to live his life upon Tawheed and upon the sound ‘Aqeedah – that he should pay attention to fulfilling the obligations and be far away from sins, and far from the forbidden affairs. That he should keep company with the best of people and avoid the company of the wicked. He should follow the Sunnah and keep away from bid’ah – to be cautious and beware of tribulations (fitan) that are plentiful in these times. I advise him to cling to his home and to weep over his sins, just as the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam) said:  “Cling to you home, and weep over your sins.” And with Allaah is success.
