Some pivotal quotes of Al-‘Allāmah Muhammad Ibn Hādī in removing the doubts of those who speak ill of Salafi Publications:
WHAT IS THE REALITY OF SALAFI PUBLICATIONS AND THE REALITY OF THOSE WHO OPPOSE THEM?
The Shaikh and ‘Allāmah, Muhammad Ibn Hādī said: “I say, those whom the questioner has asked about, I know about them, I also know their problem, and you have come to the one who is well-informed. Our brothers from Salafi Publications in Birmingham, I know them fully for more than 13 or 14 years, in fact around 15 years. I know them, and I know the soundness of their way, and their methodology which they are upon. And those you have mentioned [who criticise them] I know them too. Some of them used to be with us in Madinah, and in this affair, they amount to nothing when compared to our brothers at Salafi Publications! With our brothers at Salafi Publications in Birmingham there is truthful striving, goodness, beneficent deeds, many blessed affairs and matters for which they are thanked; for their disseminating the true and sound Salafi Da’wah to people in all areas of the West, which is to be thanked, and which is to be mentioned about them in goodness. May Allah reward them with goodness, and specifically the brothers: Abdul-Wahid Abu Khadeejah, Dawud Burbank, likewise the brother Bilal Abu Hakeem and besides them from the Salafi brothers who are with them, co-operating with them in Salafi Publications..” Dated: Sunday 5th May 2010
IS IT TRUE THAT THE BROTHERS AT SALAFI PUBLICATIONS ARE HARSH AND EXTREME?
The Shaikh and ‘Allāmah Muhammad Ibn Hādī said:
“The point here is that those who accuse the brothers [at Salafi Publications] with harshness, exaggeration and extremism, then in reality they are wrong. And some of them, and I say this with all truthfulness, are liars and transgressors. We ask Allah (the Sublime and Exalted) for guidance for the one who erred, and we ask Allah (the Mighty and Majestic) for guidance for the one who lied and transgressed, and that He returns him to the way of truth and correctness – and if not, then may Allah relieve us and relieve the Muslims of his evil. Indeed He is the Generous, the Kind.” Dated: Sunday 5th May 2010
WHAT IS THE CORRECT STANCE TOWARDS THOSE WESTERN STUDENTS WHO WERE IN MADINAH AND NOW REFUTE SALAFI PUBLICATIONS? WERE THEY ADVISED BY SHAIKH MUHAMMAD IBN HĀDĪ?
The Shaikh and ‘Allāmah Muhammad Ibn Hādī said:
“As for those whom you have mentioned, then they have erred with the extremity of error. And I mentioned this to some of them when they were here, and I have given direction to some of them, and I explained to them in that regard. However, they refused to accept. So the likes of those, if they do not return [from their error], then it is not desirable for them to be put in front of the people [to teach].” Dated: Sunday 5th May 2010
THE METHODOLOGY OF SALAFI PUBLICATIONS IN REFUTATION: DO THEY REFER TO THE SCHOLARS?
The Shaikh and ‘Allāmah Muhammad Ibn Hādī said:
“As for Salafi Publications and their speech regarding men, and their criticism of people in the West, then I do not know from them except goodness regarding this aspect. Rather, they ask us about everyone they know over there. So those about whom we know, we answer, and those whom we do not know, we ask them for proofs from him, from his speech, which is translated when it is not in the Arabic language, or from his writings, which is translated when it is not in the Arabic language, and when it is in the Arabic language, they bring it to us with his voice, and so on like this..” Dated: Sunday 5th May 2010
I (Abu Khadeejah) asked Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Hādī (may Allāh preserve him) whilst in his home alongside a group of brothers several years ago, that when he wrote for us a bayān, those who oppose the brothers at Maktabah claim that Shaikh Muhammad intends that the brothers are not to explain, teach or clarify the da’wah, or the words in the books they are are translating and teaching from. The Shaikh (may Allāh preserve him) responded: That is not true and not what is intended. You should explain and clarify the da’wah, and clarify and explain the terms in the books you teach from so that the people understand the intent of the author.
